I wish I could have my ver7 in the states or even swap a bugeye, but I don't think the whole usdm sti swap in a bugeye would be so cost effective for me. I'm thinking 05 sti with a bugeye front end swap? Much easier and cheaper than swapping a car
How much did it run you for your drive train anyways?

Not bad at all. I just feel more comfortable getting a USDM sti. I want the 2.5L for more TQ and the tuning solutions for it is easier in the states. I know open ecu is an option, but I still want my displacement lol. Plus I don't have the time or patience to swap all the stuff let alone want to pay to have a swap done. There's a reason why my 98RS that was wrx swapped was bought since I didn't have to do the work....LIC did for the previous owner

I look at it this way....even if i pulled my motor id overhaul it to be on the safe side and same goes with a motor from a front clip because you dont know the history of it, but i guess the same could be said for a used car in the states. if anything as far as an unreliable ej257 goes id be weary of the 06-07 for the piston rings and the factory tune for that reason. The 207 is smooth and I like it alot, but I like TQ over high revs since I'll never use the high rev capability as much as I would like to.
