I love GC8's for their ability with engine swaps to destroy simply from a power:weight aspect.

No doubt about it, there is just something that much more brutal about GCs; where they give a little in chassis flex, they take it right back in weight savings.

Updates! Once the rear diff guard was all fitted and buttoned up properly, we fabbed a tough front skid plate to make sure our EJ20 stays healthy in the slop. Oorah!

Let it never be said that this is a show car, quite the opposite. It gets driven with all due respect to the upgrades and mods, so after a little fun in the snow, a change-your-drawers powerslide means we need a new corner light and a touch-up for the bumper.

No one ever said driving subies in dirt, mud, snow, gravel would be cheap.

By the way, I notice a lot of German guys flip their BMW badges also. Is it a European thing?

Hahaha that's for sure, but it's a Subaru, so like a dog, it needs exercise! Not sure about flipping badges in Europe, we did it just because the car is so different and modified from stock.
