Hi guys,

Long time lurker, rare poster, but I wanted to share this with everybody. I am Czech and this is my best buddy's project build in CZ. It started life as an EDM '97 Impreza GT before having an unfortunate encounter with a stubborn tree.

So, without further ado, a pic journal of the build to date, with updates as I get them.

Off to the paint shop! Can you tell he is a McRae fan haha?

 

Paint prep and...matte black, anyone?

 

And now for a few of the toys to be installed shortly...

 

Paint has so far turned out even better than expected! Front bumper, rear bumper and rear spoiler...

I'm guessing that is all the same car... or did you swap into another body? If it is the same car, wow... Most of 'em that get that badly hit end up in scrap heaps.

 

Thanks for the words and support guys. Yes a new donor chassis was found since this car will be driven hard and even trying to pull the wrecked frame straight wouldn't ensure the most structural integrity for performance.

That cage is one worthwhile upgrade?

Was that a Dodge Ram in the background of one of those pics? It sure stands out in the crowd, or parking lot in this case.

 

Good eye haha, it sure is. I searched for just the right Ram for my buddy's dealership in CZ and then shipped it over in a container as American SUVs/trucks are not available there and are somewhat of a hot commodity.
