Iron block that can handle 1 million PSI, closed deck, forged internals. Everything the pos Ej engine should have been.... I wouldn't mind having this Evo on some E85 at all GLWS sir someone buy this already!

I'm sure this car would be quite beastly on E85!

I have one person that's just waiting on his loan to be approved... quite possibly Monday, so we'll see.

does the 4g63 in the ix with the MIVEC produce power even easier?

i read of them dynoing stock higher than the sti of that same year span/generation. then with 2 mods and a tune make like 350whp easy.

i guess what im saying is, does having the mivec make a huge difference?

Well, to a degree, the Evo IX's with MIVEC can make more power; however, I think when it gets to the point where you do a built motor with a big turbo, the difference are less noticable.

I had an Evo IX before this Evo VIII, with TBE, Cosworth M2 cams, FP Green, etc etc, and on that setup, made 330whp or so on GST's Mustang Dyno. Most Evo IX's with TBE + tune will do around 300whp, whereas a TBE + tune Evo VIII will only do like 250-260whp. I think stock, an Evo VIII makes around 190-210whp, depending on what year you have (the 05's have a 10.5 hotside, whereas the 03-04 Evos have a 9.8 hotside turbo.) Evo IX's were making like 220-230whp stock.

Srsly! Anyways I don't see why the MIVEC wouldn't make a difference. I have a built JDM motor with AVCS and it def helped in the torque range. Buy this thing with your baller cash Steven!

no wonder all it takes is a suby owner to get an EVO to finally see the truth in making power. the block and internals is enough for me. no wonder they make so much damn power easily. thats it, time to get one. but not yours panges, too rich for my taste

03'EyedBug, you had an EVO then went to a suby? didn't need to make that much power i take it? lol

lol. How can it be too rich for your tastes? A used stock Evo IX with 30k miles will run you around 25k. hehe. You can get this built Evo with 1,200 miles for 24k.
