new to the subaru helps =[

I recently bought a 1997 impreza with a 2.2L engine and it has some worn out shifter bushings on it, since im new i dont know how to take them out, can someone help me on steps by step? Much appreciated

wait so how many bushings does it need to have on there? can u tell me a bit more about this also im planning on putting a short shifter on it some type of kartboy stuff so will it be even more difficult?

there is one on the shifter lever its super easy to do its right on top



there is one at the bottom back of the linkage that one is easier to get on a lift and get it from under the car

the hard one to do

the top one i did myself just make sure the bolt is lined up before putting it through lol

the bottom one i had help doing

This is most likely the one you need to replace. It's not that hard if you have the tools and a little skill. Here's a Guide http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t587...obble-fix.html .

When I bought my '98 L it had bas shifter wobble even though the previous owner had changed the front and rear bushings to kartboy units. After following that guide my shifter was back to factory feel, and even better now that it has a kartboy short shifter on it good luck!

ok i put the kartboy shortshifter on my car now, but heres another problem i dont have bearings to put into my lever, so how do i take out the bearings in my old shifter to put in my new one.
