Looking for an oppinion on a DIY aeroguard for my underbody

I'm looking to cover both the engine bay from the bottom of the bumper to the front of the wheel wells, then most of the tub, then the rear bumper to the rear wheel wells.
I would be using 1\16th aluminum diamond plate. Originally I wanted to use carbon fiber plates but they're like 4x as much.
The front and rear bumper\under-body plates would be connected to the bottom of the bumper lip and use hangers off of existing bolts of the frame.

The black is the covered area of the under-body, the red outline is the covered bumper area. Ideas?

That's exactly what I'm looking to do! My plastic guards ripped off after a few 'good times'. Thank you for the link, I'll follow up in this thread as I make my own. I'm buying a 6ft piece so hopefully I'll have enough to do the rear all in one go, and if not I'll make diamond plate mud guards!
