I'm worried I have a boost leak

So when I start to spool and go my turbo gives me consistent boost stops and then comes right back. Like I feel it going then it stops for a second then goes back up. I recently changed the starter cable and took off the intercooler and was worried about a boost leak. How serious is a boost leak Someone help please.

doesnt really sound like youre referring to a boost leak. a boost leak will make an ugly loud adubilbe noise if a coupler is loose. Or you'd be able to hear the air leaking out, and it will struggle to hit target boost.
but if you're hitting boost and it drops and comes back up it doesnt sound like a boost leak.

maybe you should add more info. how much youre boosting, what psi does it cut out?

and yes boost leaks are bad.

Sounds like a sticky boost controller.

There's no boost controller. And I'm boosting 15 psi is what the previous owner told me. I don't have a boost gauge yet

And it will be spooling up and really going then it will drop to nothing and then come right back.

you seem to have a lot of these, "i need help" threads. Why not take it over to FW motorsports have them look at everything and let you know what is going on with the car

You don't have a stock boost controller installed? Really?

I second that you just take it to a shop, before you damage something expensive.

Im pretty sure youve got a stock bcs. And like stated earlier sounds to be a sticky bcs.

Oh okay. I didn't know they came stock with that...where us FW Motorsports located? And I hardly ever drive it hard. If at all. I was just confused when that happened.
