4eat!!

Some people really dislike the 4eat!! i dont understand why? Just some quick mods and the good oL torque converter and the stick has no chance!! and thats the facts. Plus the AWD is more advanced in the 4eat then the stick! oh well the debate will last forever!!

I think many of feel that the WRX and STi are drivers cars, and the stick is the best way to keep the revs in our control. That and i've heard the Auto buckles under power.

I don't really have any complaints with the 4EAT. It is sluggish at times, but I think that is because my Impreza is old and slow. The car was a hand-me-down. I guess beggars can't be choosers.

i have a 4eat

yeah with a torque converter and simple mods the 4eat rules, but thats in a straight line.

on the twisties or on the track, where the subaru belongs, its a different story!

The 4EAT isn't bad, but its not the best. Launch Control kicks in too often, and it downshifts way too much (and doesn't upshift again when it should). It also just lacks the punch (and MPG) that the stick has.

22 days until my 4EAT is replaced with a manual

There is a place where it's an avantage: crappy traffic.

Any prolonged speeds under 15mph and I wish I had an auto. And in Cali, thats a constantly growing event.
