I'm really looking forward to riding tomorrow. I bought a new camera bag (a little zipped up model that will go on the chest strap from my camelbak) so that I can more easily take pics without getting left by the group :rotfl:

If I bring my other camera (the Canon S50), would anyone be interested in carrying it and taking pics with it? If it gets broked in a fall I honestly don't care, so there won't be any liability worries .

Lessons learned from last time: bring as much water as you can carry.

Great ride today, kicked my **** :O!

I think most of the group was home sipping iced tea by the time I finished the trail but the humiliation was a good motivator to get into better shape. Thanks for the support Matt, and to Ray for the company at the baaaaaaaaaaaaaack of the pack.

I had a good ride today too. When I was riding I was pushing a bit harder and actually rode 8.8mph on avg today, which is .5 mph faster than the last time I rode out here. Not too shabby

When I got home, I had to go get my hair cut, then get food for dinner, come home and get my stuff sorted for school tomorrow. I'm beat

Anyway, on to the pics

Lance, yuckin it up:

The trails were sweet today:

My first ever on trail mechanical failure:

29 Total Pics, here.

So what are we riding this weekend? I don't want to burn it out for anyone, but connector/fhdl again is fine with me, or if you want to switch it up by doing the manzanita -> clementine -> confluence -> stagecoach that's cool too, or whatever. we can make up some kind of frankenride

manzanita->stagecoach->clementine->fuel break->confluence/continental divide (whatever it's called)->stagecoach is good for me. Has to be Sunday though.

I think it is usually 3:00PM.

We should hit the trail by 10:0Am at the latest.

From the parking lot for Connector, Fuel Break is the one to the right that goes uphill. Culvert splits from this and drops to the tunnel, then you take the gravel road down to the start of COnfluence. (I should have shown Culvert on my loop, but I forgot the name - Fuel keeps going and hits Foresthill Road, but Culvert is more fun). There is also a trail that goes straight from the lot and is pretty short. It crosses Foresthill Road and leads to a bombing fire road to the start of Confluence.

Here's a good map, but it's missing the short straight trail (shown in brown near the Connector): http://www.mtbsingletrack.com/confluence.map.gif
