We are happy to officially announce the 2005 San Francisco Region SCCA and California Rally Series Rally School!
This year, we are expanding the school into a two day event. On Saturday, you will begin with classroom instruction that will cover all elements of Rally competition, followed by in-car practice for both drivers and co-drivers. Sunday, the in-car practice will continue throughout the morning for drivers, while co-drivers will return to the classroom before heading out for their own practice session again. Sunday afternoon, there will be a mini-Rally, giving you the chance to practice your new skills!
This is a great opportunity to show a new co-driver, service crew member, or spouse what rally is all about. There is no one involved in the sport that will not benefit from this workshop. 2005 marks the the tenth presentation of the school.
When: September 24-25, 2005
Where: Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows, CA
Complete information and entry form:

If you have questions regarding the Rally School, please contact Michel Hoche-Mong at rally@grok.com
In the meantime, our next RallyCross event is August 13th, and the weekend following the Rally School is a double-header RallyCross weekend, with an event on Oct 1st and 2nd.

Day One is the same school as last year. The second day is more in-car practice time as well as a mini-rally.
Edit: So the difference is there is no full on rallyx the next day, it's the mini rally instead. The following weekend is a 2 day rallyx.

We have a few people who's signed up just for the co-driving course. We will be pairing them up with the "unatttached" drivers.
The routes for the mini rally transits won't be that hard. The point is to make it a learning experience, not to try to trick people. I'm going to try to keep them simple so that one could run them solo, but it would be better to have a co-driver.
