this is so tempting. But i have volks and I would need to get some real mudflaps. I'm lowered with swift springs and I don't have a full spare or camping gear. But i would be down to go if I can ride along with someone if the camping gear issue can be worked out!

I can't wait! What are the roads looking like? I have coilovers on right now... should I get my stock stuff back in?

Depends...what kind of COs? I assume you can raise the ride height. I would do that at the minimum. If it's not too much more work, the stock struts/springs might be a better option.

There didn't seem to be very many places where outright clearance is much of an issue, a couple of big rocks that rolled off the mountain here and there but nothing that couldn't be driven around- I'd probably want to make sure the damping is set to handle washboards though, there are more miles of that than I'd care to admit, but seriously not too much.

Unless you are slammed down an inch or more below stock, I'd think you'd be OK.
