We usually end up waaaay the Eff out there, so that may not be the easiest thing to do. I'd plan on camping out for sure

OK so I am heading up probably Sunday to do the initial route exploration run, sometime between now and the 24th I'll need to know how many people ARE coming, (not how many are interested but won't show...)

I like the Mattole beach campsite too, but we've been there, should we go back there again? or try to find a new and different place?

And where are people's road surface preferences? Dirt or paved twisties?

Mattole FTW!!! Seriously though, that's the best campsite I've been to for our type of shenanigans. The one up in the hills that you could only get to on dirt roads was good too, but the beach trumps all IMHO.

I'm pretty sure all of the possible weekends are blackout weekends (I have to work) so I can't go.

It entails a good amount of driving on AMAZING roads, some of them (hopefully most) being dirt. We camp out Saturday night and have a good 'ole time and then have a fun, leisurely, drive home. Unless you're HellaFlush you should be good to go.

Some rough stats

The route I will be looking at this weekend is a little over 280 miles total, Fuel will be available at miles 116, 140, and 220.

Dirt section lengths; 23, + about 50, so less than 80 total.

5 timed "rally" sections about half of those miles dirt, half paved.

Who is on board? so far, I am figuring;

Brian W.
Rich and Christina
Andy C.
Ed and Sonya

That leaves open just one more spot...

Unless I get confirmation of more people who will- really will- participate, I will write it for, and hold the total number of entrants to 5.

Pete, I'm not sure anyone's contacted Rich to confirm. We may want to do that before committing them. Regardless, anyone who's on the fence should jump on this event. SUPER fun!

I am in contact with them fairly regularly so I'm pretty sure they are on board.

Stoked! Should be fun. I hope we can pick up another adventurous soul and introduce them to our sort of fun
