I believe you have to take apart your center console or at least have to remove the e brake handle and there is a possibly a wire in there that you pull tighter. I've seen a post about it years ago on Nasioc and I know the dealership did it to the Legacy I used to have.

Close. Very close.

You do have to remove the cover. There are two nuts there. You tighten them there. Check nasioc and subymods. Both have pictorials... hell I'd search Youtube. I bet there is one. I need to do mine. If there isn't one I'll do one.

E-Brake needs tightening - NASIOC

It's not step by step, but it's telling you what needs to be done.

Maybe I'll join you all on the next one. I am still getting the hang of driving this car--it being my first manual car--so I am still rusty on the whole driving thing, haha.

Click on the User CP link all the way to the left of the black bar up top. That's where most of your options are. And switch off the noob settings for posts per page and up it to 100.

Welcome aboard. I'm an SC native myself.

The thing to remember with subarus is NEVER EVER lift off the gas pedal in the middle of a corner unless you're trying to get oversteer. Many an AWD noob has totaled these cars by not remembering this simple rule.

It's different than any car I've ever driven. They like late break set up for corners. Cut all the speed early and power though apex.

Around town I am usually in 4th. When I am coming to a turn I shift down to 3rd a couple hundred feet before the turn, remove clutch, foot off the gas. By the time I get to the turn I will be going about 25mph, clutch in, go into 2nd, and continue.

Tell me if any of that sounds wrong because I don't want to **** up my car!

EDIT: This is my third week with the car.

if its your first manual car dont even worry about turning fast. Just get use to it and enjoy it until you feel confident enough
