I'm keeping my engine! Lol... Wonder what they have instored for us. Back then when the 04 STi came out 300hp300trq! That was never seen out in the street (a 4cly. W/all that POWA!) now every damm car is fast.. We used to, in my opinion be in our own league.. For what you paid for back then for the 04 STi.. It was a street monster... We need to produce higher hp on our next STi.... Keep up with the rest..

I would definantly not by the first model year with the electric turbo.... New tech needs to be tested and proven before ill jump on board. Might be hard for the aftermarket to adjust as well...

When other companies started buying in to subaru (Saab/Toyota) things started changing as far as direction. They realized there was more of a market than then expected for subaru's. So they shifted focus to sell more cars. And it's worked... well.

But for us folks that like the performance part of it we've kind of been left behind. When Mazda is destroying subaru in most tests... it's sad. And these days AWD cars are EVERYWHERE.

I think the splitting of the platform might end up being a good thing. They'll be able to make the car that most consumers want while having a separate platform for us... I HOPE.

But to tell you the truth... I'm perfectly happy with my car. I'd be happy to put a 07 sti under my car and just rock that for another 5/6 years and pray to god that they bring a turbo diesel legacy over to the states or the wagon makes a triumphant return... otherwise I'll probably buy a truck for my next vehicle and pick up a really old suby to play with....

Yeah I'm happy to have the 2.5L.

I'd prefer not to drive a car with an engine smaller than 2 liters (again lol)
