Leave San Jose area (meeting area yet to be determined) about 8:30am.

Nice drive down 101 south to Gilroy area
Take 25 south thru Hollister and out into the country past Pinnacles
Make a left onto Coalinga-Los Gatos Rd and follow it for 50 miles to Coalinga
From Coalinga, take 198 west back to junction with 25 north
Take 25 north back into Gilroy area and run 101 north back to Bay Area

Stop for lunch/BBQ somewhere cool on the way back.

This is a revised version of the epic May 1st drive.

yeah, it's on brokaw/old oakland rd. right next to the mcdonalds.

 

If nothings going on i may be there.

Oh wait. I think that's the same weekend of my next drive

Did this ever happen?

There is a rally coming up on June 18th-19th out of Lebec (at the top of the Grapevine on I-5). I know I'm crazy ... but I'm thinking of driving down just for the BBQ on the Saturday evening.

Anyone interested in turning this into a fun drive down on the Saturday and / or a fun drive back on the Sunday?
