regarding the shower issue. What our camp did is drive down like 2 miles and go to this campground. we camped at pismo beach in the dunes but there are no showers so we just parked on the side of the road like 2miles up and this little campground has public showers that takes quarters. Problem solved. you can't drive in there but just park on the side of the road. just walk in. no one will know you didnt camp there. even if people see you they just think you are walking to the showers from your tent site. Worked the last three times i have gone. I was even lazy one time and told the ranger i was looking for my grandparents and just drove in....Problem (he would know you are lying if he saw you carrying your clothes into the shower rooms, but i never got caught) Besides there still making like $4.00 bucks a shower. party on guys. Don't blow my cover still go undercover if you can, you'll get a little anxiety rush it's great.

 

sorry for the double post but i was just doin some more reading. Yes you can reserve camping passes. not specific spots but you just find a place and camp. somewhere near the bathrooms if your going to do some drinking.hahaha The dunes are actually known as the oceano dunes. hers a phone number and make it clear to them that you want to camp on the beach and yes you know it will be noisy due to the dirtbikes and quads, etc. Here is the nuber that i always call.1-800444-7275. Make sure you right down your reservation nuber or even better bring the e-mail confirmation they send you. Have fun and be safe.
