Jane, I was just barely broadsided in the Forester in August of last year. Damage was enough to total it Super sad. What are you driving these days?

Enterprise "specials" ;-) Waiting until I get a permanent job again before buying something else. Very interested in the gas mileage on the 2012 Impreza.

I kind of wanted to double check with everyone- just to make sure- will you be participating in the Redwood Rendezvous Road Rally Adventure tour and Campout?
I really need to know exactly how many will be so I can set up the timing for the number of participants, so I would really appreciate hearing from each of you for a final confirmation, whether the answer is yes or no, either via PM, posting to the thread here or via e-mail pete@northnevadarally.com.

(A few of you have been active enough in this thread that I know you're coming- its the people who haven't been posting here lately that I really need to hear from...)
Thanks!

In for a penny, in for a pound.

PS: my secksy skidplates & springs came in today from Primitive:

I'll be putting my Yakima bars & basket back on & installing a beefy tire carrier to it to restrain my full size spare. I've got about 3 good pairs of FRS radios I'll bring. I'll be bringing as much FREE wood as I can fit around my camping gear & cooler of beer (and water). I'll bring my Coleman propane lantern & some extra propane bottles to contribute to the stove supply. I also have a cell phone signal amplifier that should boost enough when in the fringe areas we'll be in.

Any suggestions on other stuff to pack?

- Aaron

I'm bringing a Coleman propane two-burner camp stove along with my Coleman propane lantern. I'll also bring supplies for s'mores. Other than that, standard camping stuff is all you should need.

Everyone that's coming should plan on bringing wood though. I usually grab a box or two at a grocery store somewhere along our route. Pete, is that still doable?

Totally- we drive past 2 Safeways after the first TSD leg, and I've put about 35-40 minutes into the schedule for shopping and gas, and starting with a full tank should get you through the day without much problem, even coming out Sunday morning...well, probably still good to fill up after the last TSD section before heading out to the lost coast, gives us more flexibility in the morning.

Sounds good Pete.

Everyone should also bring FRS radios if you have them!

I seem to recall you being in a hurry to get home Sunday morning last year, will your agenda allow a more leisurely retreat this year?

Not quite sure really. It's hard being away from the little one all weekend 'cause that's when I get to spend the most time with her. It all depends on how long a drive I have on Sunday to get home. Without giving too much away, how far will we have to drive on Sunday to get back to say, the Washoe House?

I can tell you that we'll be somewhere we've already been twice... and I think it's one of your favorites...

This sounds like an epic meet, but I don't think my car nor my driving skills are up for it. Maybe next year, when I'm not still a 100% noob.

Bueno! I'll probably try to be home by 2 or 3:00 on Sunday which should allow for a relatively leisurely cruise home with a distraction or two

Careful out there on Skaggs, there's a ton of CHP up there looking for people having too much fun in cars (I live in Healdsburg and make that drive on the regular ). Good stuff nonetheless!
