how do I make a 91 legacy fast?
my friend bought a 1991 legacy (I don't believe it's turbo) and I told him that we can make it go damn fast if he puts a little money into it. He wants to get NOS cuz he's crazy like that.
Anybody have any ideas on how to make the 1991 legacy FAST? (like... WRX fast) and done cheaply as well?

If its not the turbo one then no way youll be able to make that thing WRX fast. And don't do nos, that will just kill the engine on a car as old as that. Only way... engine swap =)
what do you consider cheap?
You can do bolt on mods, aftermarket turbo kid, or engine swap.
those are you options along with NOS if you want do that, but you eventually need a new engine so you might as well save that 800 bucks for the NOS kit and put it into bolts on or the new engine.

Tell your friend to check out http://bbs.legacycentral.org It's all first gen. Legacy guys. There's a lot you can do, but you're not going to do it very "cheaply" if it isn't turbo'd to begin with. He may want to look at finding a turbo Legacy. They're kinda rare, but they're also fairly cheap, and a great base to begin with. Good luck!

Oh, and tell him no NOS

well we have a couple of stand alone ecu's for the na ej22. fuel systems, fi kits.
if you want to use nitrous I would definately recomend a stand alone ecu.
