changing idle rpm on 98 outback
Does anybody know how to change the idle rpm on 98 outback. I was told its simple, yet different for every model. Thanks

Isn't the idle speed controlled by the ECU?
There may be a base setting, but after that the ECU controls the idle rpm.

BTW, why do you want to change the idle rpm?

Ya I'm not sure why you'd want to change the idle RPM but to me seems like an easy fix for it would be an adjustment of the throttle cable.

It can be adjusted from the throttle body, u know the lever u pull on at the throttle body to rev the engine, theres a screw right behind it that controls the throttle stop.
