Answer me these questions three...

Alright, enough with monty python... and I actually only have 2 questions.

1. How much horsepower do the 00-03 JDM B4's make? I cant do the conversions. I am talking about the B4 RSK and the GT-B versions.
2. Anyone know the conversion from Ps to HP? I cant find it anywhere

1) "280PS" is the standard output, but that is based on the Japanese "Gentleman's Agreement" about maximum output power. "PS" is the abreviation for "Horse Strength" in German, and is used to denote Metric Horsepower.

2) Google has a great calculator built in now.

looks like they are roughtly 205kW in the Manual... which is 278PS/270HP.

Here's the Boxer6 in the 3.0R:

Looks like roughly 195kW/265PS/261HP

Thats strange...

The Boxer6 in the 3.0R is supposedly rated at 195kW/265PS/261hp... Isnt it the exact same engine as in the USDM H6??The USDM version is rated at 210hp? What is the cause for that 55hp jump? At least as far as I lknow there is only one 6cil Subaru engine which is that very one.

Im so confused

I read somewhere that we will likely have 4 trims of Legacys next year:

270HP GT-Bspec (2.5L-T monster, detuned STi motor)
255HP 3.0R ( "the" 6-cyl motor )
220HP GT (detuned 2.0L-T WRX motor)
180HP "L" ( N/A 2.5L )

This fits pretty close with what motors are out in the entire subaru line right now.
