You are going to lose some coolant, if you are fast enough you can swap out the block plug with the block heater element without losing to much. Just make sure you have the bleeder screw loosened as you refill the coolant in the radiator, do not want to get air in the system. The install is not real hard your going to need to jack the front up some though.
