WRX Factory Tint?

WRX Factory Tint?

I was wondering if there is a tint on the windows straight from the factory? I know some cars come 91% or so, and then if you add 35% you can get ticketed. I'm not overly concerned, just wanted to know what the WRX's have. Thanks alot.

WRX's do not have any tint, and I don't think there is an option either.

thanks. Yeah i was just wondering if there was a very light tint, but it's not a big deal, just personal interest. Thanks again.

you're welcome, I was looking for factory tint when I got my WRX also, I wish they came from the factory tinted, ah but o well.

i believe it comes with 70% green tint? last time i heard..
that sounds kinda reasonable because i compared my drivers side window with my evo freinds drivers side window(which he tinted 70%) with the doors open side by side in the sun..and there was NO difference at all. i think he basically waisted his money..

There is a slight green tint, not sure of the percentage. It just cuts UV though, as opposed to making the windows darker. You can see the green tint if you roll your windows down halfway and compare the scenery between the open gap and the half-rolled up window.

Dont go for factory tint, you can get a much better quaility out somewhere else. And, pay a lot a cheaper.

The UV shield comes stock on all Imprezas regardless of whether you want it or not (at least for the '02s they did

). It wouldn't be a problem putting aftermarket tint over them though if you wanted to.

I spent 1/2 a day removing the old *** tint from my 85' nissan 720 pickup...get someone else to do it if your lazy otherwise it was worth it cause it was freeee...on my day off too damnit
