what would be the best boost gauge

I would like DEFI, but too expensive, and don't want to pay for the control unit.

I was checking out the STRI DSD-SLM II or DSD-CS and like those, can someone who has these chime in to let me know if they are any good?

Also, is there a certain type of boost gauge that is easier to install? I want something very accurate, so I figured the digital gauges aforementioned would be best, but I don't have any experience with the gauges, so I could use some advice. The first gauge that I'm getting is the boost, but will be getting others as needed/wanted and am looking for some that will match, so if there is a line of others that are just as good and less money I would like to know.

Thanks

I think the best gauges are the STI GENOME gauges that are from the dealer in japan =P You used to be able to find them on ebay a while back for everything running around around 1000 give or take. But they are basically like defis

All of the boost gauges function pretty much the same. The only difference is the method in which it get it's signal. Some a electric which send a signal to the gauge via a transmitter and wire. Others are mechanical which use a small piece of tubing connected directly to the gauge. What you buy will depend on the size, and look you want. Omori makes some nice gauges that match color scheme, nicely. Defi offers quite a bit of features and JDMness. Autometer makes reliable gauges in many different trims. The genomes are Defi. to say one is better than the other, hard call.
