Autometer gauge into oem boost gauge

I just bought an autometer boost gauge. I already have a stock boost gauge. I was wondering if i could just take the stock boost gauge out and fit my 2 1/16" into the stock housing and use the stock hose and wires. Has this been done before? This way seems too easy to be done...

If you're talkin about the stock gauge pod that goes on the steering column, it'll only fit a 45mm gauge which is less than 2 inches. To get the stock gauge out of the pod, simply pry it out with a screwdriver carefully and evenly around until you can grab it and pull it out the rest of the way with your hands. Carefull not to damage the rubber pod.

thanks. I purchased a pod that Autometer makes and it fit perfectly where my stock gauge was located. Thanks anyways.

p.s.-yes it was a b*tch to get the gauge it self out of the pod.
