what do you use to clean the intercooler?

what do you use to clean the intercooler?

My intercooler is no longer silver. What can I use to get it cleaned up again without damaging those fins of course.

Remove the intercooler from the engine, using care if you've never pulled the hoses from the piping before.

Cap off or block openings to prevent water from getting inside IC. Spray water through the fins - do not use anything other than a brush with very bristles. You might try mild engine degreaser if soap and water doesn't get the IC clean enough for you but it might loosen the paint.
