I've heard nothing but good things about the PIAA silicone bladed wipers as well. Unfortunately, I have no personal experience with them but will probably get them when it's time to swap wipers
well I thought I'd bump this. Interesting to see how the piaa's work.

Does Subaru makes two different blades for winter and not-winter?
very useful information... I didn't know that...
btw, has anyone heard of Teflon wiper blade by TRICO? I saw them at Costco for $15 for two 18" and $20 for two 20". Any good? Also, if I buy two sets, how long/well can the second set last? I would think it's okay as long as it doesn't sit under the sun/heat.

I was reading a little on the bosch site, and from what I understand winter differs in that theres no exposed metal so that water is less likely to freeze to the wiper, and it therefore takes longer/ is harder for ice to stick to the wiper.
So now I'm thinking I should get some new wipers, now I just have to decide which ones. So does nobody have experience with different ones so as to be able to assertively say which is best? - sometimes I hate choices

I have the PIAA silicone blade on the passenger side and the super sporza silicone on the driver's side. It has been raining pretty gnarly-style in santa cruz for a few days now, and my car is parked in a car port right next to the beach.
In the morning when i get up, i get a combination of dried rain-gunk and that oily sea-goop thats in ocean spray. The wipers, in conjunction with some windshield wiper fluid, gets everything off like a champ.
