Why does my passenger side head light keep burning out? Ive always used Sylvania Silverstars and never really had a problem since recently. The first time the bulb burned out. 2 months later the bulb popped and was a biotch to clean inside the headlight, and 2 weeks after that one another one burned out. Does anyone have any ideas? This is kind of eating my wallet. Thanks

This happened to my other car last month. Might be a bad headlight harness or whatever they call them. The dealer replaced that and gave me 2 sets of new bulbs for free. Hasn't burned out since. The bulb usually on lasted 2 weeks and after the 3rd I knew it was something electrical.
Also make sure you don't touch the bulb with your fingers if you just ate an Ultimate cheeseburger or something. A tissue or gloves is recommended.

Mine actually flickers on and off (the passenger parking light, that is). Sometimes it will work and other times not. I haveto check out my wiring, just haven't gotten around to it.
Could be your fuses, have you changed any of the fuses before? You could have put in a stronger fuse which means instead of burning the fuse it will burn up the wiring or the bulb itself. Or you can have some sort of electical shortage

Try replacing the headlight with a regular OEM replacement type bulb instead of a Silverstar, and be REALLY careful not to touch it. If it goes out again, you're probably looking at a short somewhere in the wiring.
some can...
or at least on my 15 y/o toyota truck.
environmental, wear and tear (constant removing and inserting), etc.
once, i tore my dash apart in the truck. looking why my radio suddenly went dead. checked the fuse. "looks" normal. so i proceeded to tear into dash that toyota was nice enough to install a fusable link down in the bowels of the dash.
link was tested okay.
then i looked at the fuse again. no breaks on the piece of wire. then i tested with a DVM and sure enough, no continuity... DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what turned out to be a 2 hour job coulda been solved by a 10 second check... sigh...
anyways, as for the original poster's problem.
i say swap the left to right and visa versa.
see if the problem persist on that "bad" side.
if the problem jumps to the other side, then you know the stuff swapped over is the problem. otherwise, if it stays on that side, then you have more diagnosing to do...
good luck...
