How to keep windshield wiper fluid from freezing?

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes. Ive heard that if you pour in a bottle of rubbing alchohol into your windshield wiper fluid it won't freeze. I beleive it would work but would it cause any damage?

Thanks,
Theo

Just use wiper washer fluid that is rated for winter use which is -20 degrees.

alchohol through rubber is never good, but if it would keep it from freezing, then do it, you can always replace hoses. i have the heated washer fluid button on my 04 and never use it, that might be a solution, get dat!

i believe the product you are looking for is known as "antifreeze" it's a colored windshield fluid (usually blue but now available in green) that most people in canada use for their windshield fluid... and no, it does not freeze.

if your area is known to have below 0 temp your local store should have the special low temp fluid.
