Cool HOT AS F***!!! Can I Use my Windshield Wiper Fluid Setup for an IC Sprayer??????

Alright, its officially hot as f***! Fairfield is up and over the 100* by a couple degrees and its sooo hot my radar detector tweaked out for a little while.

So, my question is....

Is there any way to setup the water sprayer from the windshield wipers to make it spray the intercooler to help fight heat soak????

Please post any info, thoughts, or links to ways to do this!!!

just go under your hood and route it towards your IC...or you could take your hood off and spin it 180' haha

i had that idea if i had a turbo

my dad used to put alcohol in the reservoir and had it go inside the cab back in the 70's when that was cool i mean :/

The windshield washer nozzles do not generate a fine enough mist to be helpful. Chances are it would hurt more than help.

I wouldn't recommend it; like Brian said, it's not going to do a whole lot for you. You'd also drain your tank really, really quickly.

well wouldnt any form of water help? im sure you could make it mist more if you got a better pump and a nice nozzle. definitely doable
water on anything will help cool it down.

Yes, but once you're at nice nozzles and a new, bigger pump, you're better off with an auxiliary system with a trunk-mount tank or something. Problem is that all that water is still going to be hot, too, and until you're moving it's not going to help as much as you think.

look for an STi IC sprayer setup. They may even have one at pick-n-pull.

Dont the wiper blades go when you use the wiper spray? That would look wierd while you're trying to spray your ic.

well if you go to walmart and buy "mist nozzles", attach it to your splitter, remove hose that runs from the windshield wiper fluid tank to the nozzle, and attach it to the mist nozzle.

If you dont have a splitter you can probably find a way to attach it to the rubber part of the scoop.

I think the nozzles are like $5 at walmart for a pack of 5.

i think these an example of this in nasioc.
