how to hold down a gauge

how to hold down a gauge

I know sounds kinda dumb, but the thing is I dont wanna drill holes in my column. I tied double sided tape and it just fell off in like 2 minutes. I got some tie wraps around it now (looks pretty geto)

any toughts would help alot. thnx
