Headlight upgrade
1997 Outback upgraded to 80w -100W H4 bulbs with PIAA wiring harness to support increase in wattage. I strongly recommend using Hella H4 bulbs. (Able to cope with increase in thermal activity)
Great update but limited to Subaru Factory US DOT lens light spread pattern.

Thanks. Ive been using Hella & Osram (Ive read, but can't confirm, Osram makes Hella bulbs) H4's in the Miata & Tacoma. And I can say that there are definietly differences between bulb manifacturers. It's imprtant to get the filaments in the right place!
But, does anyone know if I can do this swap without having to change fenders & other pricey bits? Just the headlamp units are expensive enough.
('97 uses H4, '98 uses the inferior 9007, despite having externaly very similar lamps)
