Drivers Window Scratch

Hello All,
I have been noticing that over the years the drivers side glass on my 98GT is becoming scratched due to the pads holding the glass in the door. I thought I fixed it initially by adjusting the felt pads that hold it in the center, but I guess not. Can someone tell me if its complicated to replace/fix those two center pads? I'v got no problem taking the door panel off....just need to know what other tricks I need to do to get those off, or perhaps repair them.
Thanks in Advance.

I had the scratching on my 99 legacy, and I cleaned the window retainer molding and never had any further problems. After taking apart the door I also saw rollers that looked like they also could cause problems if **it got on the rollers.
Hope that helps. I found duct tape and rubbing alchol worked well to clean the areas.
Cheers.

Well, I ordered the 2 stabilizer pads that hold the window in the middle-top of the door. The dealer will have them in next weekend. It Cost about $17 for EACH stabilizer! Thats crazy I think because its basicaly made out of plastic, and felt on a metal back plate. But, I'll replace them knowing OEM stuff works and cant afford to make the glass scratch even more.
I know I can remove the inner stabilizer pad easily, its just the outer one is going to require some struggling with. I will let you all know what happens when I I take them of and install them. Does anyone know how to remove the weather stripping?
BTW, I did clean them in the past, both stabilizer and weather stripping, but its only in the exact loaction of the stabilizer....so its gotta be those 2.
