Gagan,
Glass prices for my rear passenger side window varied greatly here in sac when I had mine bashed out four months back. I have a $500.00 deductable perhaps yours is less but the cost for replacement was 200 dollars at a discount place here. Some places wanted $300 plus so let the fingers do the walking in the yellow pages.

Yeah, Still need to have my dad look at it. He takes care of things like this.
I remember someone posting way back about some glass folks who were mobile, and drive your place, and did the job right there, and that they were cheap.
Pete, nope, everything was still there.

That sucks that it happened, but I am glad they did not take anything from your car though...with a high deduct. its hard to get stuff out of insurance....my comprehensive is $250...so even a $200 window would have to comeo ut of my pocket...if the replacment was $300, I would have to pay $250 and insurance would pay $50...to justify a window repair being $500+ would be hard...so I dont think u can get tint out of the insurance company

I have 0 deductable on my compherensive, it's not that much more for 6 months. Anytime I get as much as a dink on the window or body from a rock flying off a truck, it gets fixed for free. And those type of claims are not chargable, your insurance won't go up. (I have american family).
I really think 0 deduct on comp is well worth the token price they charge for it.

That sucks, man. At least they didn't take anything...
I had my car broken into when I lived down in SJ. They used the old screw-driver-between-the-window-and-door trick and bent the crap out of the door.

and gagan, who's your insurance company? good luck getting that taken care of. definitely report it to the police and urge the other people to as well. you never know, sometimes people like this are incredibly stupid and the cops might actually catch them. imagine if they left an undercover officer sitting in his car right by yours and they smashed his window. now that i would like to see on an episode of cops.
