Driver door unlock and aftermarket alarm
This question is mainly for the GC bodies that had oem alarm/keyless entry...
I just installed a new aftermarket alarm in my GC and I was trying to figure out how to go about enabling the driver door unlock priority. So when I hit unlock on my remote, it only unlocks the driver door first then if i hit again, it will open the rest of the doors similar to my oem alarm.
Heres what I did so far. I uninstalled the oem alarm and hacked up the harness to mate with the new harness following various schematics and manuals so everything else works fine. when I arrived to the part for the driver door wires, I noticed there was a "driver door unlock motor" wire and a "driver door unlock switch" wire. When left unconnected, all of the other passenger doors lock/unlock except for the driver door. Adding a jumper wire to connect the "driver door motor" to "driver door switch" enables the driver door to lock/unlock with the rest of the doors. I checked the voltages for each wire and found ~12v for the lock/unlock wires normally for "all" of the doors and 0v when the switch is hit. But the driver door is normally ground and spikes to ~12v for a second while the jumper wire is on.
The wire lead from the aftermarket alarm has a specific driver door priority for (-) polarity @ 250mA.
Anyone know how to go about wiring it up so only the driver door unlocks?

just screwing with your eric... if you are still having trouble with this, let me know... I can dig into the wiring diagram a bit...
