hi thought i would give this a try. Does anyone know how to jailbreak and unlock an iphone 3g with the new 3.1 update???

Funny b/c the video I posted from YouTube uses RedSnow, same iClarified mentions. Agree that their are alot of bad videos on YouTube but this one works great. The guy is very detalied and shows you using his phone all the steps.

 

This jailbreak works for the new MMS firmware update correct?

 

Believe so a friend of mine just confirmed that it worked on his. I havent done to mine yet

 

I think you have to use mac os, I have not seen anything for 3.1 using windows, could be wrong though.

 

would it be the same process with an itouch?

If you somehow screw it up, you can reboot into DFU mode and restore to factory settings.

The warranty is only voided if you give it to them jailbroken.

use the instructions on the dev team blog. I can do it from start to finish in 20 minutes now and its easy.

 

^ they can still tell if the phone ever had non apple content on the phone, It blows lol
