cruise control switch rattle/vibration
i get a slight rattle/vibration in my 05 wrx sedan. its more noticeable while driving on the highway but happens on local roads when i drive over certain bumps and potholes. my temporary solution is to gently rest my pinky on the switch as i drive. is there a more permanent solution?
has anyone else had a similar problem? this doesn't have anything to do w/ the cruise control recall does it?

The recall was to secure the cruise control cable where it connects to the throttle lever on the engine, and would have nothing to do with the switch inside the car. It also does not apply to your 05, only to earlier years.

Pop the switch out and put some RTV silicone in there to quiet it down. That should work. I'm sure the dealer can do that for you too or something similar. But little things like that I do myself rather than take the time to drop the car off.
