Angry Bulbs keep blowing out!

I've replaced my headlight bulbs several times already on my 04 WRX - i'm not sure what the problem is. I've gone through the stock set, 2 sets of SilverStar and most recently the generic ones at AutoZone. I can't keep replacing these bulbs - it's making me crazy! Any suggestions?

I'd take it in somewhere and have the electrical system checked out

For one thing the Silverstars are notorious for not lasting very long so you should avoid those. However if OEM-grade stock wattage bulbs are burning out prematurely there may be a problem.
One thing you can do is put a voltmeter across the battery while the engine is running, it should not read more than about 14V with the engine at operating temperature. If it's much higher, like 15-16V, you may have a bad voltage regulator which would mean a new alternator since that's where the regulator is.

Are you touching em with your finger tips? If you leave oil on them of any kind it will create hot spots and make them burn out much faster.
