keep blowing fuse SBF#5 - is it the uppipe resistor? (was: Need Help!!!)
Need Help!!!
I just installed my perrin up and downpipes, but I keep blowing fuse SBF#5 (blew 4 already). I think it has something to do with the resistor for the uppipe. I have a cel fix for the downpipe so i don't think it's that. Don't really know if I installed the resistor correctly. I just put one end of the resistor into a hole in the EGT plug and the other end into the other hole. Could it be the EGT sensor? The way I installed it? The resistor? I have know idea what's going on and what i should do. Please help me out guys.

well, I am not sure what fuse SBF#5 is, but I can tell you that I do have the resister fix for my uppipe and a protune. All the resistor does is tell the ECU that the EGTs are at a constant 1275 degrees Fahrenheit. it should only connect to one side of the plug(that goes back to the ECU), not both male and female plugs(ECU and EGT sensor).
Since I don't know all of the symbols in a wiring schematic, I can't make a lot of sense from the Subaru wiring diagram.
Here is what is listed:

And here is what MB-9 connects to:
