Are 04 WRX seats a good upgrade from the 02?

Hi all,

How comfortable, and how good are the 04 WRX seats?
Do they worth 350 without side airbags? and do they worth me from upgrading?
and dooes any of you know how easy is the swap?

Sorry for all the questions, just wanna make sure that i am making the right decision.

TIA

I think it depends on your frame and size. I prefer the '04 because the '02 side bolster was pushing on my thigh with my foot on the dead pedal.

Can't comment on price since I don't know the market. Aren't STi seats only $4-500 with airbags?

Swap is REALLY easy. Just one socket needed and everything plugs right up.

I am 5'4", 120 lbs at most.
so the bolster is not really bothering me.
I more concern about how the seat hugs, Since i would slide around in my 02 seats.

and i don't really like the blue swede on the sti seats,
i would prefer black.

any comments on how these seats hold a person my size?

The 04 seats don't hold as well as the 02-03 seats in my opinion and it sounds like you are a small person (no offense intended) the 02-03 will hold better if you are average or below average size.

Swap is easy, just make sure you disconnect the battery or pull the airbag fuse.

The bolster was just in a bad spot. I'm not a big guy by any means.

The '04 are definitely wider, so you're probably better off sticking to your stockers.

I have an '04 wagon, '03 passenger seat, '04 STi driver seat, and '03 driver seat in my bedroom!
