Unhappy Radiator removal diag

Does anyone have a diagram on how to remove your radiator mine is cracked
on the plastic and 200.00 in labor or more is not in my budget.

Dude! Checker's got Chilton Manuals to help you out if you wanna do repairs on your own. Of course, you have to be somewhat mechanically inclined at least.

Im going to check that out right now thanks

I live in Atlanta Ga now and I cannot find a used one
does anybody know if there is a comparable replacement for
a 98 rs radiator.

to remove the radiator:
Step 1: empty the radiator with the radiator plug on the bottom of the radiator.

Step 2: remove the hoses, bottom, and top, and overflow

Step 3: remove the top bracket

Step 4: remove, if applicable, the underside plastic tray

Step 5: unplug the electric fan motors, usually two

Step 6: pull that sucker out

Caution: when putting new radiator fluid I would recommend using Subaru factory fluid with conditioner. Make sure you "burb" the radiator so that you don't have air line bubbles. Subaru's are a little harder than most.

Thanks thats whats up I will hit up your directions as soon as I find a another radiator

I found an OEM Subaru radiator at a local speed shop that was $100 less than one at a dealer. If you have any mods, consider getting a larger core for more cool.

I recommend buying a Koyo all aluminum radiator. You can find them in some online vendors or even ebay. Subaru's oem radiator w/ the plastic top is really cheezy and it's only a matter of time before it leaks again. Might as well spend a little more and get an all aluminum radiator. The Koyo quality is superb and made in Japan.
