Yep, but I don't think the free oil changes will cover Synthetic so will pay the difference or bring my own.

I'm using Mobile 1 5W-30 in the WRX.
Everyone has their own preference though.

Mines makes a little noise while turning sharp from a stop (like when you pull away from the curb). Read I believe if could have something to do with the differentials because they can make noise when they are working. Some diffs on other cars make noise ALL the time, especially aftermarket ones. I know the mags talk about it all the time when the document installs.

I havent read through the whole damn manual yet but I think they did a decent job.....talks a little about dccd, setting indicator and turning beep on/off, stuff like that. How come some have said they didn't get a manual? Is this true? Or do they just want a damn service manual already like me? i know the basics are in the owners manual and I've had that since I got my car on the 25th. And according to the Schuman people it was the first to leave the warehouse although I could care less about that.

By the way.....who has their alarm already? Know of any problems or difficulties? i'm a little picky so I want it done right. And the turbo sounds great.....but I'm really starting to miss my stereo

When I looked in the index for DCCD nothing so I eventually just flipped every single page and found it all in there buried. I figured it was in there when the first couple pages had the 2.5l turbo engine diagram and then just took some looking.

Getting tint/alarm tomorrow. Stereo a week or so from now. Special T does a great job on em from what I have heard and experienced. Just dont get the trunk release like I did in the rex. The manufacturers arent smart enough (atleast with the clifford) to make the release silent. It rattles and shakes all the time while I was driving. They need to make the parts out of some plastics not metals, oh well. Wont be getting trunk release on the STi for sure.

Well Al's will be tinting mines when I find the time and I'm still trying to decide on my alarm. I'm a Clifford guy so I'll probably go with them again but I want it to be perfect. speaking of trunks, I definitely have some complaints. This is my first Subaru but the trunk sucks! Dave, do u have problems opening and closing it? The trunk release latch feels like its gonna break most of the time, and its also difficult to close. Maybe it's just cuz I can't stand slamming the trunk.....that just feels wrong.

Hopefully my stereo will be coming along soon. My down payment kind of hurt me.....haha so I'll probably take it pretty slow. I just hope my boston pros fit

I actually cant pop the trunk from inside anymore. Happened last nite, feels like you are pulling and pulling and the cable will break. It takes such a slam to close it as well, I agree. I usually try 3-4 times before it catches. I need to take mine in and find out why its so tight, Im sure thats why I cant pop it from inside anymore. Wierd huh...

I dont think its just yours. Mines is the same way. There was one time I couldn't pop it from inside.....the lever felt like it was gonna break (I believe it might be the cheapest plastic you can buy). The thing is I think its the latch because even when you use the key it takes a good twist. That made me wonder how well a power trunk release will work because you'll need a strong solenoid....pissed me off. Let me know what they say....although I doubt they can really do anything about it. Maybe if you get a chance see if there are some cars on the lot you can test.

[sarcasm]Phewww! What a relief. glad I didn't buy an STi. that trunk-release problem is gonna turn this thing into the next Yugo![/sarcasm]

I'm just kidding. Hope the dealership comes out with a fix if this is widespread.

This was a problem on the regular WRX's as well. Adjust the striker. It takes 2 minutes. Try it. If you need instructions do a search on www.clubwrx.net for a post I made regarding the subject. Try "adjust trunk" and see what kind of hits you come up with...

Perfect, will give it a shot. Assumed it was just too damn tight, which is over course what you want in your women just not your trunk...

Thanks I have had problems with my03 since the day I bought it just thought it was something that I was going to have to deal with. Never had much problem opening it but always have to slam it shut.

Had my tint installed on Monday and alarm(Clifford) on Friday. The place that installed my alarm said they could wire in a turbo timer later on without a problem. I didn't go with trunk release due to the extra cost. Still debating on stereo/speakers.

Same issues on trunk, though the inside latch works fine. It is hard to close, but I'm getting used to that. It's easy to forget after I get in and start driving.
