thanks Jon.

I got busted for doing 109mph by the airport back in 96. This was in my late Ford Probe GT. I had just broken the car in so I wanted to test her out. I was up to about 140 before I started slowing down. Lucky for me they got me at "only" 109mph. I had to go to court and had my sentence reduced from reckless driving to just a 89mph speeding ticket. paid the fine and 2 points on my license. Boy were my folks pissed at me.

I got two DUI's two month's in a row and along with the second one I got a reckless driving for doing 75mph in a 35mph zone...That was in 1998 and I can assure you I have never gotten behind the wheel after drinking since and if I see somebody that has been drinking and they drive off in their car I'll be the first person to call the cops even if they are my friends...

I have a "could have been tagged" story, driving towards pearlridge a few years back in my slo-rolla, i was probably going 50+ and someone was shooting laser, so i get pulled over with my friend in the car, and when the officer walks up........WHAM! pull out my police ID, talk story with the officer, and my friend is in the passenger seat yelling " GIVE HIM THE SPEEDING SPEECH, YOU GUYS SUCK! " and then he tells me he gotta go catch more speeders and drives off

i only got one from a parking violation. i parked at that thomas square park thingy across the street from blaisdel. i didnt realize that it said tow away zone after 3pm. so it was 3:20, when i had gotten back the police was parked behind my car and the tow truck just left towing the doge ram in front of me. i was lucky they had to take that truck out before they could tow my car. i think the ticket was like 50 bucks.

Not bad, but I did waste some time in court though. I think it only counts if you get convicted... So what was your worst ticket? Luckily for me, the cop that pulled me over at the time had an 85mph speedo, so my ticket read 85+mph, I think I was accelerating past 115mph before I slowed down on a near empty freeway (testing the top end on my VW Scirocco - 144mph normally aspirated). I've been ticket free for at least 6 years now!
My worst ticket was something like 22 miles over the limit I think. I just got pulled over going 88 on the interstate on my trip, but the limits are 75 in most western states. I just drive fast to get there sooner. It doesn't give me a rush or anything like that. Both of my cars can stop better 90 MPH to 0 MPH than most cars can stop from 40 to 0. I really think speed limits a just dumb. There are other problems to worry about that are much more socially detramental; however you don't get any money when you bust a truck for transporting a few thousand kilos of coke. For a while here in IN the cops were busting trucks full of drugs making smokey and the bandit runs north from Mexico and the west. They pulled in tons of coke, meth, heroin, and weed. I guess they just stopped, or the truckers went though another state. In Germany they don't always have speed limits, but they strictly enforce tailgaiting. That is what we should have. It is more dangerous to ride someone's *** at 55 that to be 5 seconds back at 100.
