That last statement was very cool, Boss Hog. I, and I'm sure a lot of the Suby community, appreciates how you and Schuman Inc. tries to help us out on servicing/warranty work, particularly with modified vehicles. I think that's really cool.
Yet....I don't think you've addressed the other issue which I and others I'm sure, are dieing to get a straight answer -- Can customers be rest assured that when we drop off our cars for servicing, that they will be pampered and treated properly while in your care? If more instances of illadvised road tests are heard about, I'm quite sure your business would suffer from such a negative rep.

I also think it was a very good statement. (I'm not being a smart @ss)

I just want to know.....

1) Why was the car driven over 100MPH on public roads?

2) Are they going to fix the gaskets they popped?

3) Why MY NAME gets brought up (Slander keeps coming to mind) whenever Chris wants to B!TCH about something?<-- I guess that's for me and Mr. Schuman to talk about.

Chris are you mad I didn't buy my STi from you guys? Because the only reseaon I didn't is because you were OUT OF THEM!

Get over it!

When you bring your vehicle to us I will do my best to make sure it happens. I was amused by the fact that Jon implied that we were hiding something by washing his car. We hired a second lot tech to clean as many service cars as possible. It was also implied that Jon's radiator leak was not corrected. When I spoke with him yesterday he indicated that his radiator was fixed.

We try to please as many of you as possible. But, as in the rest of life you can't please all the people all the time. I will try my best to please as many people as possible. One thing I will not tolerate is people who give my service manager and techs a hard time. If they need to be reprimanded I will handle it. No one is going to fired over this. For those of you who patronise our service department, THANK YOU. For all the "angry" customers, what can I say ? Life is to short, lets have some fun at the track.

Aloha,

Chris

In no way during our conversation or in my posting of this PROBLEM did I imply (or mean to imply) that my car was cleaned to cover up anything!
When did I imply that my radiator wasn't fixed?

This whole discussion has been about the fact that my car was driven inapproriately.

Will my requests be met for the wrong that was done to me and my car? If they are met then I will ask the the i-club to delete this post so that everyone can get on with their lives!

Jon

Exclamation Quit trying to change the subject!

Here's the real issues for all our viewers desperately trying to hide from them:

-A customer's car was driven inappropriately while in for service. Namely 105MPH on public roads.

-As a result of that driving, over a 1/4 tank of expensive fuel (~4 gallons @ $6.009/gal = $25 in fuel alone) was burned; uppipe gaskets that retail for ~$50+ (correct me if I'm wrong) have been destroyed; trust has been lost

-The owner wants an apology, a full tank of gas, and replacement gaskets.

-The owner is getting the following: lip-service about 100 years of Schuman service; a resume' worth of history on the Waipahu GM; a categorical thesis about the warranty policy here in the island; lip-service about Subaru's support of Motorsports here in the island

Notice how there is no correlation between the customer's requests and the dealer's responses

[warning: opinionated statement to follow]
To be blunt: Schuman should put-up or shut-up.
[end of opinionated statement]

I understand that it's the weekend (Sunday, no less) and nothing can happen, but the posts by the GM in this forum are not doing anything but destroying credibility, and fanning the flames of resentment and mistrust.

Let's pray this gets taken care of Monday.
-Greg

Great summary as stated above but please don't forget to include the documentary of everything!

Well all I can say is that never called him an idiot. I've only talked to him twice in my whole life. Are you sure you are not confusing me with someone else?

Oh well I don't care.

Your mad at me for calling someone an idiot once (and it didn't even happen). Yet every chance you get you bad mouth me.

"Hello pot this is kettle....."

Back to the real reason we are all here....

1) Why was the car driven over 100MPH on public roads?

2) Are they going to fix the gaskets they popped?

No limit or Sean, I think?

That is not what Braun or Ed have told me ! I can only go on what the guys who I work with every day tell me. Particularly when I wasn't there. I have worked with Braun for over seven years and Ed since I was transfered to Waipahu by Mr. Schuman over a year ago. In my judgement they are both straight shooters. If I am misinformed, I apologize.

Aloha,
Chris
yes, this is Sean
I think you may have Dan confused with somebody else. Right when I heard about this a while back (the accusation that he 'went off' on Braun), I asked Dan about it, and he was very confused. I've been friends with Ed since I got on island, and I know he would tell me if Dan acted in that manner. I know Bruan is a good guy, ... that's why I asked Dan immediately about it, ... b/c I wouldn't want ANY of the group acting in an inappropriate manner to the guys in the service dept. They've been a great help to us.

ok, back on topic.
