Well I'm starting to think...........

That the STi is really worth the money.

a $23,000 WRX with just these upgrades....

1) Brembo brakes $2500

2) 17" Forged BBS wheels and good tires $2000

3) HID's $1000

4) VF-3something turbo and STi injectors $1300

5) STi intercooler and water sprayer $900

6) STi seats and wing $1500

7) STi suspension $1000

Adds up to $33,200! That's how much an STi cost.

Plus with the STi you get the....

1) DCCD

2) .5 more liters displacement

3) 6-speed trany

4) front LSD

You forgot the exhaust ~$1400 is probably a good estimate.

What about the Unichip ($300) or UTEC ($900) to manage the injectors, pump, and larger turbo?

Defi type gauges? But you don't have boost, egt, or afr, though, do you? (even)

**** a HID. WRX seats are fine by me. **** a wing. Yeah, I'm interested in that waist wing, but if I were on a budget, I'm not, but that's because you can't budget $0, the wing would be last on my priorities.

The DCCD and the FLSD I'm still on the fence about. They've got to be better than what I've got because the magazine's say so, but I'd say that they'd be more important if I autoX'd more often, and if I were a good driver.

One minor, but very crucial factor is something Dave's reporting. 23 MPG on 92 craptane!!! No worries about high egt's or knock. I honestly have no idea how many horsepower I'm pulling, but at 300 crank hp, for you to just fill up and go to the dragstrip with no worries is awesome.

Oh my friggin GAWD!!!

It's an animal. In my little pea-brained mind, there are no flaws and no distractions to this car. Personally, I wouldn't get a stereo. I don't know the extent that I'd modify if, but I know that the exhaust would at least have to be as good as the sweet tone of the G35.

I'm like a bad teenaged girl novel. I'm in love with 2 cars.

I will have one.

Geico must not know what the STi is because I only had a $60 per 6 month increase from the 02 rex after fully informing them what the car was, power and all that. Works for me. I bet they update the system later, but atleast for now its locked for 6 months.

No, I think the exhaust is the same as the WRX just with a "bing" ( I'm bringing that word back yO!) STi tip! But I need to look at it more to tell.

If that's true, then most of the aftermarket exhausts for the WRX... Dan, next weekend you want to see if the BPM will fit on it?
