Sucks to hear but it's not very surprising anymore with the Jeckyl/Hyde team we have this year. To shave points you have to be a key person on offense.
I really hope it's not true but there have been many fishy things this year and last.
Tulsa - Lots of talk about it. I think they played like **** period.
UNLV - Same as Tulsa. Add to that being in Vegas doesn't help. What's messed up is that the opening line was +1600, prior to kickoff it was +700. Those who bet know this is very fishy.
Idaho - Have problems all game with pass rush and not being able to complete passes, then last possession of the game, just march through with ease to score.
Utah State - Nothing needs to be said. Going into the half with a lead like that then blowing it in final minutes?
San Jose State - The guy pulls his hamstring, hobbles down the field untouched barely running? Rest of the game was odd too, the second half that is.

Well Star Advertiser changed the article, HPD not investigating after all. However you KNOW the NCAA will be poking their noses in something like this.
Although the more I read, the more I'm skeptical. All this over an anonymous letter? Hmm....

I haven't really kept up with UH since their last stint in the Sugar Bowl against *a REAL* college team. You know when all the locals in Hawaii were going ape **** that they had a chance to take a bowl game. Anyhow so my next statement is base off that.
So if I am not mistaken, don't you have to be really good to shave points? I mean if you are good you put points up all night and then just boche the game here in there. If you just suck you would have a hard time scoring let alone trying to shave points.
just my 2 pennies

Statement from UH President M.R.C. Greenwood
November 22, 2011
On November 3, 2011, the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa Office of Admissions received an anonymous letter alleging "point shaving" by unnamed football players of UH football games.
Recognizing the seriousness of these allegations, UH leadership acted promptly and responsibly by immediately alerting the Honolulu Police Department and providing the letter to them.
Board of Regents Chair Eric Martinson and President M.R.C. Greenwood met personally with Chief Louis Kealoha to offer UH's full cooperation with HPD's inquiry.
UH has alerted the NCAA about the anonymous letter and its contents and, in discussions with them, has been informed that it is "doing exactly what you need to be doing" in this situation.
Out of respect for the police investigation, UH will not comment further at this point
