Know any places around here that can shave race tires?

Dunno about a "shop", but give me a half-day and a cloverleaf and I'll get it done

Ask the Reno guys - they have a hookup up there. Around here, the only place I know of is AIM out at Sear's Point.

Only if TireRack has the tires in the one warehouse that does that. I found the exact tires I wanted, but they only had them in a different warehouse than the main one that does the shaving and heat cycling. It would have cost me double shipping in order to get them shaved.

However, if you talk to the Reno crew, they can get the tires direct from the Reno TireRack warehouse and then use their local tire shaving guy.

Might as well get the tires from them too then, in that case ...

Yeah I think they have pretty good prices on RA1's too.

In Sacramento

Hi all - I couldn't find info for a place (or person) in the Sacramento area (within 30 miles) who can shave regular tires. These aren't race tires.
I have a screwed up alignment because America's Tire doesn't do alignments (!) and I made the mistake of not getting it done after I bought tires from them.

Thanks for any help.

Listen to LagnWagn. He was a trucker, he knows tire shops.
