Tint in 4 dr sedan

Can you go darker than 35% tint in the rear 2 dr windows of a 4 dr sedan?

I know the front and rear window gotta be 35%, but what about the rear 2 drs?

correct me if I'm wrong but from what I can recall you can have +/- 9% on your tint from the legal 35% so that means you can have legally go as dark as 26%

please wait for the HPD members to reply

35% +/- 6% 29% is the minimum. That is to make up for factory tinted glass. I got 35% and tested it with the HPD tint meter and got 29.4%.

All the windows (excluding the windsheild = no tint) have to be the 35% even the rear panel widows. Only SUV's and limos can have darker widows on the panel glass.

Hope that answers your question

Dan

???? Ummm, Good question. Someone with a Forester look at the vehicle code and see if it says MPVH (Multi purpose vehicle) If it doesnt day 4dsw than you can tint to your hearts content.

The front two windows (driver / passenger) have to be the 35%. But the back windows, and camper top can be completely painted black.
