There's a ****-ton of math involved but a 24mm solid bar has the same stiffness factor of a 30mm hollow one.

Hollow does save weight though. I tend to go solid such as Whiteline's stuff which is top-notch.
QFT, blake hits it dead on... If your going for just street use and dd, go with whatever route you go as far as strut/spring combo vs coilover. Then get a RSB,lube the bushings, get some aftermarket endlinks and call it a day.

Now if your into pushing your cars ability in the suspension category, here are all the factors youll have to play with.

Spring rate and Spring ratio, wheel rate, roll couple percantage, weight transfer, unsprung and sprung weight transfer, travel & damping, camber control, roll center height, anti dive and anti squat, flexibility and vibration modes of the suspension elements, Isolation from high frequency shock, I know there's a few more but those are the one I can remember of the top of my head.

If you ask me, I would say FTBS(f*k da bull sh*t) and just listen to what TiC and/or blake advices and tips are. Also there's quite a big bunch of guys that are still autoX, feedback from them also helps you to gauge how you want to setup your suspension.

Took me a few tries before I got my suspension dialed in the way I wanted my car to ride and perform to my taste.

I now have Swift springs in KW adjustable Variant RCE tuned coilovers and Whiteline sway bars and other suspension thingamajigs in my LGT that has always plastered a smile on my face every time I drive it. It rides very well (to me) as a DD and mated to the QuickRack, it's an extremely fun car to fling around. It's more on the sporty side of motoring. If you want a Lexus or Camry ride, this is not for you.

BTW, tires to me really change a ride greatly. Since I don't SCCA, I recently switched from Dunlop Z1 Star Specs 235/40/18s to same size Continental Extreme DWs. OMG. What a magic carpet ride with my setup. Dunlops are almost new and for sale now. Lol.

Yes...unless Perrin has decided to go solid.
