I am not going have my almost non-existant life stolen away by that game, but I know my roommate is more than likely going to play. He's a hardcore Everquester. I just want to see the graphics.

 

as much as I like Star Wars, I won't be buying it. I tried Asheron's Call a few years back, and just couldn't get into it. A bunch of the guys in my office were really into it, and I tried, but anything more than a couple of hours a week was too much for me. This may be different since I've read so many SW books and know the specs (total geek) of a lot of the ships, but I don't have the time anymore. If anyone plays, let me know if it's any good.

 

SW Galaxies is just an evercrack rehash in the star wars universe. MMORPG's don't have graphics anyway, they're meant to please the magnitude. Want graphics? Unreal II.

 

I was just going to compare it and see how much they added to EQ graphically. The real graphics monster is gonna be Doom III.

 

Doom III isn't gonna be out until next year.

 

Hopefully, I'll have a faster computer and graphics card by then.

AC was a$$ compared to EQ. EQ rocked and stole so much of my life. I would like to check out SW Galaxies, but Im afraid of getting sucked into it again. If I was single for sure, but wife (who hates the computer) and baby mean none for me.

 

Ok, that looks fricken cool as hell. Hmm...

I've got the game. Its addictive I tell you! 5 Professions, 25+ classes...no space battles until next year.

 

Christ, my wife would kill me if I started playing that... If I could limit it to like an hour or so a day it would be cool, but with EQ you fall too far behind the people you play with who are slaves to the game and you cant group with them anymore. Better if I just stay as far away from it as possible.

 

How's the game running? stable? any bugs? The space craft expansion is the part that interests me the most. Let us know what you think of the game after a few days playing.
