Ok so I just got 2 tickets not to long ago and the cop said my wing wont pass so will my ver.6 sti wing pass recon also im not running the foam on the front bumper cause the cop ask me if I had and he just went straight to my front bumper and was looking for one and I was like no so I need to change that and my carbon hood he said that wont pass also.... I just want to get recon so atleast they wont bother me that bad and go all out. pluse he said my car was unsafe and said I had to get it towed to my house so me and my friends towed it back to my street and I was so close dammit but ha if anyone could help please let me know. thanks

front bumper if he has the foam stock its going need that to pass. carbon fiber hoods will pass if it doesnt say OFF ROAD USE ONLY and has holes for water nozzles or if it doesnt need it never mind also hood pins arent required and sometimes they wont pass it with hood pins because you arent using the oem latches anymore. the oem latch and hinges need to be mounted correctly on the hood. the wing is a touchy subject

idk much about the subies but i know some stuff about recon.

 

sounds like u got tagged by the same cop that took my recon lol.

he probably thought you had a FMIC cause if its the same guy he also accused me of a FMIC and asked if i hacked up my bumper beam. i just said no FMIC and pointed to my TMIC so then the cop said oh ok you front is fine.

my CF hood was on my recon so he didn't say anything about that but he got me for my rear bumper beam when he crawled under the car looking for the FOAM.

the wing will thats i have no idea

 

I never look under my VIS hood if it even said for off road use only... my hood does have holes for the water spray, but thats what he said, the cop was a white dude with a asian girl that was in trainning and he was driving a all black camaro with the big police badge stickers on the side doors. lucky he never fine me wth my front bar tint being alittle low and the japanese stickers on the front also my thingy hanging on my rear view mirror. my ticket came out to be $197 he also said that something about my safty check sticker I for got but its good he never take it out... I think he just got the numbers to check it out... ooh yeah also I have to go COURT for unsafe vehicle so yeah jank already.

 

u can can just rip off the vis badge if u wana do that...

check it guys.............. if you have friends on the outer islands just borrow their address and register it in maui hawaii or kauai county cause they have no recon regulations then drive it around here and if you get pulled over let em see that you are registered in one of those counties and tell em you came over on the ferry. my friends truck came over from maui definantely needs a recon and got off cause hes still registered in maui also start writing letters to your reps and let them know that the recon law is bs just another way to collect money i heard that its almost been taken away twice in the past four years and i think they need to do away with it anyway our cars are safer than those old rust bucket pieces of crap i see on the road that pass just because all the lights work wtf!!!!
